Training online

Iam a Director of Counselling Online Ltd., a Company which was formed in 2001with the sole purpose of developing online counselling inthe UK through training other counsellors to work online and through working online as a group. My responsibility as a Director is for the modular training courses we run which I devised and wrote. These Courses are validated by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awards Body (CPCAB) and build to a Diploma in Online Counselling. Our training uses an experiential approach with groups of counsellors who plan to work online and is delivered entirely over the internet (there are no face to face meetings, other than by internet technology). It is offered to experienced counsellors and psychotherapists who are planning to introduce an online service. In addition to our modular training courses, Counselling Online Ltd. are developing weekend Workshops which are also delivered online. Currently, I run a Workshop which offers an online approach to creative and therapeutic writing. You can find out about our workshops at the above website.

As part of my work as a trainer, I have written two papers which are aimed at our students and consider aspects of working online in a counselling environment.
